Meet BUSTER
If it was all about looks, this little guy would be a cover model. But adopting a dog is about being able to accept that when life deals a dog a tough start, he may bring a little extra luggage with him.
BUSTER is the kind of guy it's easy to fall for, but he's going to need a loving, adult only home where patience and gentle handling is central to his life. He was given up by his owner along with some of his pups (the owner is keeping the mother dog, who we spayed for her), and he has had a bit of a tough time. He is between 3-5 years old and he had a fracture of one of his front legs which was never treated and healed on it's own, which gives him a bit of a limp, He is sensitive to touch if you go too fast with him, and he barks at strangers. Although he absolutely will go outside to potty, he occasionally lifts his leg to mark inside.
So this adorable little 7 pounder is a challenge. On the plus side, you couldn't wish for a dog more loyal once he understands that you care for him, he is affectionate, sweet, wants to please and just wants to cuddle up and be with you. He loves going for hikes with a pack dogs, he is fine with cats, and has begun to play with toys which he carries around proudly.
In the right home, he will be a sweet, loving loyal dog. He could be an only dog or have other friendly dogs around.
OUR ADOPTION POLICY:
This is not a first come serve situation. We will place the pet in the home we think is best suited for the individual needs of the pet. Please be patient with our process.

We do NOT (except in unusual circumstances) adopt beyond a 50 mile radius from the East Bay, so that we can adequately do a home check and follow up.
Our standard adoption fees are:Puppy/Dog: $200
Kitten/Cat: $ 100 Two kittens: $150
Some adoption fees may be higher, depending on the pet and the costs we may have incurred.
