AJ #3 Black Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

AJ #3 has had a rough first year of his life. He was dumped on a back road in a rural town. Some volunteers were running other dogs to the vet when he started following their car. Of course no one claimed him. When he went in for vetting the poor guy had been shot with a pellet gun. He does good playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He also loves going on walks. Rides make him a little nervous because he is scared he is going to be dumped again, but the more he gets to come back the more relaxed he becomes. AJ is house-trained and crate-trained. AJ really loves people, chewies (like antlers), and food. Food is his second favorite thing to people. When he first arrived he scarfed it down but now he savors it. AJ will need a family willing to work with him as he does require a strong pack leader, someone that is going to help AJ to be just a dog. When you call AJ's name he gets so excited instead of wagging his tail, his whole body wiggles. He will even grin sometimes. You can see on his face he just can't believe someone is calling him for something good. AJ is ready for a home to give him all of the cuddles and snuggles he deserved when he was a baby.
