It's unfathomable but many animals are forced to live their lives like Ace. Owners wonder why their animals get loose, act out, and even become aggressive. Well, imagine living each day on a tether with just enough room to stand up and lay down. Restricted from socializing, stretching your legs, held a prisoner from life itself. You'd become your own worst enemy and view others in the same light....Unless you are Ace.

Ace was reported to animal control and seized from his life of solitude and spending every waking moment in the same spot in his lonesome yard. He was seized in late August and became an immediate favorite of our chief ACO, Mimi, and we can see why.

At just over a year old, this charismatic teddy bear has stolen all of our hearts with his amazing ability to weather tremendous storms and come out on top. Ace is a survivor and he serves as the defining and divine reason behind our mission. Our animals deserve better than what he endured; and we will not ever compromise doing what is just and what is right for these deserving animals.

Ace is a happy, lovable, goofy sweetheart. He loves to play and romp around in the shelter play yard. He loves being free from his tethered confines. And he loves exploring new things that he never got to experience in his previous life. Sadly, we are limited as to what we can reveal to him at the shelter but we do our best to keep him content.

Ace loves everyone he has come in contact with and is very eager to make as many friends as he can with his affable and fun loving disposition. He is also EXCELLENT with other dogs and does not appear to be interested in bothering cats.

He is a solid, 75 lb gorgeous boy and we could not ask for a more dignified and mannerly boy in adoptions. At times, he retreats to the back of the kennel but he loves to bask in the sun and take naps on beautiful days. He seems to be at peace with his current living situation....

But he has no idea that so much better awaits him. We are seeking a stable, nurturing, and patient home for Ace. One that is willing to understand that while he is young at heart and ready to conquer the world, he will require boundaries, structure, and training to ensure that his future is paved with continued guidance and TLC.

This sweetheart has been through so much and continues to impress us each day with his ability to shine brightly despite his gloomy past. He is an ambassador for the breed and why we advocate so strongly for pit bulls.

Ace is smart, loyal, loving and ready for his days of true freedom with a loving owner/family. He is housebroken, kennel trained, heartworm negative, and fully vetted!

Adoption fee is $67 and includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
