COW GIRL UPDATE! Foster Dad Jim sends this report: Jim renamed her Cowgirl and reports that she has very good house manners "She is doing really well, definitely opening up and has very good house manners. She’s very sweet, not a big kisser, but will put her front paws up on my desk chair and nose me when she wants some attention. She loves it when I play guitar, and especially if I sing to her. Which means she may be tone deaf :)"

Cowgirl graduated from Good Citizen Dog Training class. I have been working with her in the class for the last month and I am kinda sad to see her graduate because now I won't see her as much. But I really hope she finds her forever home soon. She deserves to be loved and have stability, a forever best friend. She will do great with a single person, a couple, or a family with kids. Oh where do I start with this sweet girl.....From the very first day she has always been such a quiet and calm dog....gentle and attentive to please you. Today was her last class and 15 mins into the class Dog Trainer Lou says; she is perfect she doesn't need to be here there isn't anything else to teach her....she has captured everyone's heart in the class and does good with the other dogs as well. She walks right by your side with no pulling, she knows a lot of commands like sit, lay down, stay, shake, and also is great at retrieving, impulse control, and basically will do anything you ask of her! If anyone would like to meet her I am more than happy to come and show them all the things she has learned in class. She is truly an amazing dog and the family that gets to be a part of her life will be blessed.

Previous training: I got to work with Cowgirl again today at Good CitiZen Dog Training. Today I worked on teaching her to lay down and she honestly did it by the second try. We also worked on retrieving and impulse control. She was able to learn all three commands within minutes! Walking next to my side is done with ease. She does not pull when walking and prefers the left side for some reason. She could possibly have some border collie in her because she is so smart and can easily be taught anything! This is the second week that I have worked with her and she is just happy go lucky and eager to please! If I didn't have a houseful of doggies already I would adopt her myself! She knows all her basic commands like sit, stay, laydown, etc and the new ones that we learned today. I am more than happy to help her new family with what she has learned so far. She is such a sweet and beautiful dog that will be great with any family!
