Meet “Louie De Palma” Named after the sitcom actor off of “Taxi” “Louie” is a 3-4 yr old 10 pound, Shih-Tzu mix. We consider Louie a work in progress as he is a rescue and we do not know his history.
From what we are learning we can sadly tell Louie has been let down, abandon and has had a rough life. He loves to play with toys and his favorite hobby is "collecting" toys. Louie will need a very loving and understanding home. He is not a dog for a first time dog parent, or a home with instant high expectations. Louie is independent and gives love on his terms. He does not like to be picked up by people he doesn't know, and he will react if scared or if he feels forced into a situation he feels is scarey. He is making progress as he feels more comfortable. Louie is "special needs" Patience, love, and comittment will help Louie flourish. He loves to play a good game of tug-of-war and go for walks but is not a cuddly type guy with new people. Louie is fully vaccinated microchipped and neutered. Adoption fee: 525.00 Louie was a last hour save from a very overcrowded shelter in CA and we do not know his history.
Louie is enjoying his foster home and dog buddies. He loves walks and cuddles and prefers slow introductions. Louie warms up quickly to new people. He would do best in a relaxed environment. He likes small non dominant dogs. He plays with toys and makes cute growly noises when he plays which is a common trait for his breed mix. Louie would like a cat free home as he is curious about cats. Louie is a great size for a Condo dweller or home owner with a secure fenced yard.
Adoption fee: 525.00 Includes neuter, microchip, rabies, and current vaccines, health certificate, heart worm test negative, and health certificate. Louie is an adorable character that will need a special person to love him. He will appreciate a home that will go slow with him. We are seeking an all adult home without children with a lot of love to give. Louie plays with other dogs but doesn't appreciate “bossy” dogs or big dogs. Louie is working on feeling safe and secure. His past is unknown. Louie is not a dog for a 1st time dog adopter. Louie is flourishing with loving positive guidance. Louie is crate trained loves walks and is learning indoor potty skills with crate training. Louie will need to continue positive reinforcement with his forever home. If interested in adopting “Louie De Palma” If interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com.
