Meet Buddy
Buddy is a very sweet, tail-waggingly happy, energetic and fun, four-year-old, 48-pound, male, tri-color one-eyed hound/shepherd-mix looking for a loving guardian.
Buddy loves other dogs! However, he does have a strong prey drive so he’s not good with cats or other small animals. He is happiest when he has the opportunity to exercise daily. He’s not an apartment dog; he’d prefer a home with a yard where he can run and play. He also loves walks and jogs. He already knows the commands sit and down and takes treats very gently from your fingers. He is housebroken and crate-trained; he’s also good in the car.
Once Buddy has had enough exercise, he’s a really great dog. He’s gentle, loving and calm in the home. He actually loves when you sing to him.
He could fetch a stick for hours if you let him. He’s probably best in a home with teens and adults who enjoy an active lifestyle.
Buddy is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. Buddy lost an eye due to an injury years ago, but he gets around just fine. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting him, please contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. He is being fostered in Chicago, Illinois.
