Pocket--Part of the Good Dog, Forever Dog program! Pit Bull Terrier & Boxer Mix Chicago, IL

This special little man is named Pocket due to his small huggable stature! At about a year old and just under 40 lbs, he's a real peanut who loves snuggling with his foster moms and exploring the world around him. He's also great with the other resident dog in his foster home though has been hit or miss with other pups outside of foster.

Sadly, as a puppy, Pocket was the victim of abuse and that has had a long-term impact on his life in the form of hearing loss and some neurological issues. Socially, Pocket is a fairly typical 1 year old who can get into some mischief but is a friendly and wiggly little dude. His hearing loss has made training more difficult though his foster parents have done a spectacular job teaching him hand signals.

We anticipate that it may take Pocket a bit longer to transition to a new environment than it does other dogs but since he is thriving in his foster home, we know he can also be very happy and successful in his forever home. His foster is located in a busy part of Chicago and though he's happy as a clam there now, he will thrive most in a more laid back environment.

Pocket is part of our "Good Dog, Forever Dog" program which means his adoption fee is waived and he comes with a lifetime of free training support.
