Chaco--I'm a Super Snuggly Dog and People Friendly Guy! Basset Hound & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Chicago, IL

Chaco is the sweetest little dog you'll ever meet. He's a bit nervous at first and, as such, might have some accidents the first day or two (even though he's totally potty trained), but you'll quickly see him opening up, and notice a wagging tail more and more. He's excited to make new friends whether they are humans or dogs, as long as they aren't being too loud or aggressive because that makes him a little scared. He's the biggest fan of cuddling and will probably follow you around at home constantly. Chaco just needs some love!

He does wonderfully in his crate, and spends the day in there while his foster is at work and does just fine! He lovessssss to cuddle, and wants to be laying next to you or on you most of the time. He definitely thinks he's a lap dog, and is so sweet.

On walks he wants to sniff everything, and gets a little nervous when there's a lot of noise around, or if there are other dogs that are barking at him. If the dogs we see on walks are nice and don't bark/lunge at him, he's excited to make new friends.

He's a wonderful dog. So loving and sweet and too cute for words, and just needs a home where they understand he's a bit of a nervous nelly at first and may take a few days to transition. His foster mom says she couldn't get more than a few houses away from home on walks without being stopped by neighbors to remark on his adorable looks, so you should also be prepared to deal with the paparazzi!

Chaco is about 1.5 years old, 45 lbs and is now neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 and as of 8/11 he'll be a resident of our Adoption Center.
