Dollie Yorkshire Terrier & Poodle Mix Sioux City, IA

Dollie is a 10+ year old yorkiepoo. She was came from a local shelter in very rough shape. She had not been groomed for a long time and she had so many mats that were so close to the skin, her hair has grown back a different color in a couple of those patches. But she groomed well and will need grooming in the future to keep her hair nice and healthy. She was also suffering from severe dental disease. Her jaw is starting to deteriorate from the lack of care. She has four teeth left, coming in with only 9, but with the good cleaning, her mouth is healing nicely. She will always have a narrow mouth from the deterioration. Dollie also has a luxating right patella, and could be a candidate for surgery to fix it down the road. She does have a little bit of pain on occasion from her knee, but has no problem moving around, sitting and running. The best medicine is to try and keep her from jumping, where she may hurt her knee. Dollie is only 6.5 pounds, so she is a little peanut. She packs quite a punch though, despite her age, which you would never guess! She loves to play. She is a little bit bossy, so you want to be sure she gets along with your other dogs, but generally gets along very well. She is not going to do well in a home with a cat, as she loves to chase and bark at them, which the cats do not like. She loves to cuddle and will always be by your side, rather than in a dog bed or on her own. She wants to be with her person all the time. She is potty-pad trained and will also potty outside. Due to her small-size, she won’t do well in a home with small children, as they could easily hurt her. She is looking for someone to spend her golden years with, at a pretty high and fast pace!! Dollie is spayed, current on her vaccinations and micro chipped. Her adoption fee is $135.
