Meet Princess

Good with Kids: Older Children
Good with other dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown
Housetrained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes
Walks Nicely on a leash: Yes
Knows Basic Commands:
Energy Level: Couch Potato
Special Needs: Princess is almost deaf, and has been diagnosed with early stage 2 kidney disease.

Arrival Story: Waggin' Tails rescued me from a shelter and promised me that they will find me a family who will love me and keep me with them always.

Approximate Age/Weight: 13 years / 8 lbs

Personality: I am a bit shy at first, but once I warm up, I LOVE to be petted! I prefer a doggie bed over the couch or human beds. I enjoy sleeping, and being near my humans. I do a “pretty paw” dance for my foster parents when they get home, because I am sooo excited to see them, and be near them.

I am almost deaf, I can’t seem to hear my foster parents, but I can hear my resident dogs barking. I also have cloudy lenses, due to my senior age, but that doesn’t slow me down!

I have three foster doggie sisters who I get along with very well. We don't have a cat, but my foster mom doesn’t feel that I would bother them.

I am housetrained, however, at night and if my foster parents are gone for longer than a couple hours… I can’t seem to hold it. I am pee pad trained, for the extended timeline. I would prefer not to be crated, it makes me a bit anxious.

I am currently on Proin for incontinence, even though my foster mom tells me she only thinks I have a weak bladder. I was also diagnosed with early Stage 2 kidney disease. I don’t need any special medication, or food, just follow-up testing every 4-6 months. The doctor told my foster mom that pups with my stage don’t normally get diagnosed yet, since I am not showing any signs. That darn weak bladder, caught the attention.

I just had a dental with 4 teeth removed, a cyst from my lower eye lid removed, and a few warts removed. I am all cleaned up, and ready to find my forever home!

Forever Home: Princess is looking for a quiet home where she will get the love she deserves. Princess would do best with a home without or with little stairs.
