Juba Black Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

As a 4-month old pup, Juba came into the rescue with a horrendous, but curable, skin condition. It left her with some minor scars on her face but you can't tell her that she is not the prettiest girl on the block.

She was adopted but major changes came into her family's life. Juba's new environment was not a good one for her. Juba is about 3 years old and she is now homeless.

Juba thrives on mental stimulation and regular exercise. We are looking for a home for her where she can be safe in a fenced yard (not electric). She has lived with other dogs but will probably be best as an only pet. She is crate trained but can be trusted in the home.

A dog-savvy adopter would know that she a very smart girl and will know how to be her teacher and her pack-leader. Juba is a very affectionate girl and is looking forward to being a best friend to the right person who will give her a forever home.
