Sam Shih Tzu & Poodle Mix Oakland, NJ

********Dog Savvy/Experienced Owner Required**********

Sam is a 1 1/2 year old neutered male Shih Tzu/Poodle mix that came to Rbari when he was surrendered by his owners to a local pound because they did not have time for him. Sam needs a very understanding and tolerant home.

While he can be very sweet and loves attention, it must be on his terms, as he can be a bit uncomfortable when being handled by strangers. If he chooses you to be his friend, he can be funny and playful companion. He gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a calm adult home, preferably with one owner (as he can be protective of his person) and at least one other dog (more than one is even better!).

Sam needs the stability and consistency of a patient owner who will commit to giving him the space he needs in order to adjust and overcome his issues.
