Meet 16-287 Lily
Lily #16-287. Arrived 6/16/2016. DOB 12/15/2013.
Lily is a girl looking for a home where she will be attended to and not left alone where she will find ways to make her life adventurous. Lily is familiar to us, having been through the shelter system previously. Lily is a girl that will make you laugh. She has some moments of disconnect with people at the shelter because she is thinking about being back to what was familiar to her. But we do see under exercises of no distraction, that she is a sweetie, who wants to be close and sit with you on the couch. Lily was known to dig under the fence and fence hop so she needs a very secured yard where she won't be left without observation. Lily's previous owner has reported to us that she is friendly to children and greets new people in a friendly manner. Lily is knows to chew things like furniture, shoes and toys, and that is likely a behavior that will resolve with exercise and bonding human interaction. Lily is unsure about the lawnmower, and she does know the commands sit and stay. Lily lived with another dog, and they spent lots of time playing and being together, but a home without another dog or one very experienced in dog interactions will be necessary for Lily. There are special circumstances that will be discussed with a potential adopter for Lily, in reference to how she has gotten into trouble when out on the run.
