Meet Odie CANINE CAMPUS TRAINING
Anyone that spends just a few moments with Odie will instantly fall in love with him. He is an absolutely adorable and a totally loveable 3 year old Lab mix. He is a favorite of the entire Canfield Kennel staff.
He is amazingly well behaved for us here at the kennel, he knows basic commands, and recently completed the basic obedience training very successfully.
Odie is eager to please, and very smart and teachable. He is potty trained and also walks well on a leash, and enjoys going on walks daily. He enjoys playing with other dogs, and likes people. He also loves running in a fenced yard, and is fantastic in the car. He loves a good heated seat and car ride on a cold day. He often goes on car rides and for play visits at a board members home who loves him dearly.
Odie was rescued by our Humane Agents when he was left all alone in an abandoned home. As a result he does have some fear when he meets new people. He will need someone who will understand this and go slow with introducing new people and places to Odie until he feels confident in his new surroundings. We will require anyone wanting to adopt Odie to take a fearful dog class as part of his adoption. He is in training now.
Odie would do well in a home with another similarly sized dog for him to play with, or thrive in a home where he is the "king of the hill" getting 100% of the attention and love he so richly deserves.
Odie would be great with a family, single person, or retiree. He will need someone though that will be willing to spend time with him, building his confidence, work through some of his fear, and showing him all the great things in life. He would love to be your lovable companion forever.
