Shayla - Louisville, KY Chihuahua & Pomeranian Mix Louisville, KY

Hi, my name is Shayla! I weigh about 13 pounds, and I am approximately 7 years old. I am not sure why I was originally left homeless because I have quite the personality. I will be so grateful when someone who will truly loves me will make me their own. I love cuddle time, and my sweet brown eyes will melt your heart.

I am trained to sit nicely for a treat, and food motivates me to learn. I love going outside to sniff new things, and I walk nicely on a leash, which is a big plus. I prefer to be your shadow and I will look up repeatedly with my happy smile.

At night, I really prefer to sleep in the big bed with you, but I am content to sleep by myself in another room too. One plus with my personality is that I LOVE attention and being petted in your lap, but I am also independent enough to entertain myself with stuffed toys. When you leave, I am content to wait patiently without crying until you come back for me.

I am housebroken, and I am very good at waiting until I can go in the grass plus I have had no accidents in the house!

I tend to be a little shy around strangers until I understand that they only want to be my friend. I approach strangers on a walk, but I do not take kindly to meeting strange dogs. I get along with my foster siblings, who are small dogs, but I prefer to be the leader of the pack.

I am very healthy, and I recently had a dental cleaning, am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. My current temporary home is in Louisville, KY, but my foster mom has promised me that she will transport me to my new forever home.
