Meet Ava

Ava is a special young cat. She is about or nearing 2 years of age. She has lived her entire life as a feral, or outside unsocialized cat. She came to us when she was pregnant with a litter of kittens and was trapped. Subsequently her foster found Ava to be very open to petting and wanting very much to have contact with a person.
In short order, her foster was holding her, picking her up, petting, combing, and Ava was loving it. She continues to love that, but at the sign of another person or any noise that is not familiar, she hides. She does come back out and would be best suited to a quiet home, adults who will be patient. She is very entertaining to watch when she decides to play and she seems to adapt to other cats very easily. she is keeping company right now with one about 3/4 grown and seems purrrfectly content with him for company. she has been tested and is free of feline leukemia/fiv/heartworm and has been vaccinated and spayed. She has a very winning purrsonality and it is so rewarding to see her play and be relaxed and finally able to safely enjoy her life. she is worth any effort to have her adapt to your home. Quiet, patience, and loving care are the things she responds to. She really is a very special cat. So few will ever fully accept a human being when they have been raised in the wild so to speak. Ava is sweet and has a way of grabbing hold of your heart !! You can tell she wants to trust you right away, but she is cautious about it, so patience is the key. This young lady cat is going to closely bond with her special human being. Having seen this in unsocialized cats before, I know she is going to be someones special fur angel.Think you can be that someone special ?
If so, ask about Ava. a quiet girl, but loves playing and will jump up on your lap when she gets to know you. took about 3 weeks for a different foster person to become friendly with Ava, letting Ava make that first step. First it was gentle stroking, then head rubbing, Ava winding around her legs and rubbing and head butting, then Ava started jumping up on her lap. .She has the most unique personality - she likes to find places to hide things-lately she was found to have accessed ductwork and when noticed it was found she had been stockpiling things in the duct:. pencils, toys, pens, paperclips, anything she could carry was being hidden in the duct work on a daily basis. I think she is so smart and loving and absolutely hysterical in thinking up things you would never believe she would do ! gotta love this unique character. Wish I could keep this one !. She is definitely a special cat and extremely intelligent and entertaining ! Love this one.
Just realize that she needs an experienced cat owner. She is sweet, not mean, doesnt bite, scratch, etc., but she is super intelligent and her own gal and and sits around figuring out things to do for entertainment. If you love an object, you better tie it down because she may "catnap" it and away it will go to her private hoard of goodies. Smart, smart, smart. would be wonderful as an only cat so you could give her attention when she would want it- she blends with others but does not buddy up with them. she does not attack, and would play if invited or not. she may just look at one and then flip her tail and walk away to some other thing that just crossed her mind ! Unique character.

EB Feline Rehoming does not adopt out cats or kittens to be outside pets. All cats must be housed indoors.

Please be aware that EB Feline Rehoming has a 100% spay/neuter policy and all animals adopted through EB Feline Rehoming must be sterilized within 30 days of adoption or no later than 4 months of age whichever comes first.

All of our kittens are raised in foster homes and some are always on display at the PETCO Store on Coliseum Blvd, behind Chili's Restaurant - opposite Glenbrook Mall entrance.

If you would like to apply to adopt one of our cats/kittens, either surf to ebrehoming.petfinder.com, or click on the link to EB Feline Rehoming that is on the second line below the cat's name at the above left. Either of those will take you to our Petfinder home page. If you scroll about halfway down the homepage, you will see the link "Click here for our adoption application (you will need Adobe Reader to view and print this)." just above our wish list. Click on that link, and our adoption application will come up onscreen. You can either save it or print it. After you've printed the application and filled it out and signed it, you can either scan the completed application and email it to ebrehoming@toddbeard.com, or bring it in to the PETCO store and tell one of the store clerks that it is for EB Rehoming.
