Meet Bentley

*************************************************************************************************
Duffy's Friends matches dogs to families and individuals in and very close to Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo New York. We adopt to those who own their home, have a traditional fenced yard, and do not have children under 12 living in the home. Applicants must have a prior history of dog ownership with a positive vet reference.
Our adoption fee is $300 for a heartworm tested, spayed/neutered dog with all vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventative. The fee for a cat is $150. You will receive a Duffy's Friends ID tag and medical records with your adoption. Check out our website at www.duffysfriends.org for our adoption steps, guidelines for home selection and Adoption Application.

Bentley was an owner surrender to the shelter as they were moving and could not take. He is three years old and a nice Yorkie at 7lbs. We have neutered him and provided the vaccinations and heart worm test which is negative.

Please note that the inquiry button on the bottom of this page is not the application. If you are interested in talking to us we need you to fill out an application on our website at www.duffysfriends.org.
He is getting along great with the foster's homes two girl dogs and is not quite housebroken. We will work on that and with having just provided the neuter it should only take us a few weeks to install clean behavior. It could be from the change and the lack of neutering by the first owner. This is typical of people who don't neuter - they don't keep the dog when they fail at housebreaking. We receive so many nice dogs because people won't spend the money on crates and taking time with the pet. Number one reason why dogs are in shelters and number one reason we will not adopt to first time pet owners.
Note the inquiry button will not work on this page and your next step is to go to our website to contact us. www..duffysfriends.org

He is sweet and loving and will make a great pet.
We do require a qualified application before we will schedule a personal meet up. The interview process on the phone is your first step. Be sure to review our requirements and then go to our website for an application.
