If you want a dog with constant entertainment/comic relief this is the dog for you! Remi is a cute and quirky little guy! He is short and long like a Basset Hound or a Corgi, but has the head and fur similar to a Golden Retriever or Shepherd. He loves to play, and when no-one is playing with him he is fine with chasing his own tail. He is so cute running about, playing like a retriever but with those short legs – you just can’t get enough of it. He has a verbal play style, often with a low growl that can sometimes be misconstrued but it is just how he plays - he is a very friendly guy! Sometimes he does think that some things (putting a harness on for example) are games, but it is pretty easy to get him to comply - sometimes with a little creativity! He loves toys, treats and just about anything fun. He is one of those dogs that has a stand-out “smile” when he is happy.
Remi currently lives in foster care with 3 other dogs and 2 cats and is thriving. He would likely be fine as an only pet too as long as he gets adequate attention and exercise. Due to his body sensitivities, he would be best in a home without children or with older dog savvy kids.

Adoption Fee: $150
TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .
Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
