Betty Lou--I'm an Adoption Center Dog! Hound Chicago, IL

Anytime a foster parent says "I'm gonna be pretty jealous of whoever adopts her" we know that is a special dog! At about 1.5 years old and around 45 lbs, Betty Lou is so unbelievably sweet and also exceptionally smart. Within two days in foster she learned "sit" and "paw" and is just so lovely and eager to please. Though it seems she may not have previously seen a leash, she is now walking like a pro on a harness. In addition to her sweets with people, she is also very friendly with other dogs and currently shares a foster home with another dog.

Betty Lou is not a big fan of being alone and though she has made big progress in the week she has been in foster (day one she cried like crazy when she was alone and that has greatly diminished), she'd still thrive most either in a single family home or with someone who works from home/is home a fair amount.

This peach is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is unfortunately heartworm positive but the rescue will be covering the cost of her treatment so she can certainly join her forever home at any time! Her adoption fee is $250 and as of 5/26 she'll be a resident of our Adoption Center.
