Joseph - FIV+ Domestic Short Hair Mix Kirkland, WA

Joseph is a very handsome 3yr-old boy with black fur and a white locket. He has soulful amber eyes that hint at a tough past. He was trapped at a feral cat feeding site and was pretty beaten up. He’s doing much better now and is clearly not feral. He LOVES to be petted, is docile, affectionate and well-mannered. He’s just now learning that life can involve play time and currently just watches the toys intently.

Joseph is a follower, not a leader and can be a bit timid. His foster family has been impressed, though, with his ability to adjust to changing circumstances. He may be slow to trust new people and new situations but will reward patience with soft loving chortles, purrs and head butts. We believe he would do well as an only cat but would also be OK with another non-aggressive cat.


Joseph was assessed as a Sidekick in our Meet Your Match Feline-ality program. Like all sidekicks, these cats are just plain good company. They like attention but can take a back-seat and be alone too. They do not go looking for trouble but they are not a scary-cat either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, consider a Sidekick!
