Meet Leopold

Meet Leopold...one of our miracle puppies! This little guy was from a litter of 7 who were all covered in sarcoptic mange when we got them. Leopold looked so bad we called him "grandpa" for the first month because he had no hair on his head (picture 3)! One look at his "AFTER" pictures and it's easy to see how absolutely gorgeous he is now...a mire shadow of his former self! Although Leopold appears black in his photos, he is actually a deep chocolate color with bits of red highlights in the sun! Due to all the specialized care and handling Leopold required to get healthy, he is super people friendly! He also ADORES toys (we have videos of this as well)! In addition, he loves playing fetch as can be seen in the video. Leopold was born around 12/24/15 and weighs 21 pounds at 15 weeks old. This boy walks well on a leash, is crate trained, learning sit and goes potty outside very well. Leopold is looking for a home as special as he is...one where he will live inside as part of the family but have a big fenced yard for interactive playtime. His wishlist also includes weekly trips to PetSmart to pick out his favorite toy! If you have been searching for the perfect dog, you can download an adoption application at www.caresga,org. We DO adopt up North and all over the US so please feel free to contact us at info.caresga@gmail.com wfor details! Continue reading to see everything that is included with his adoption fee:
Adoption fees for puppies are $300, adults dogs are $250 and senior dogs are $150. This includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella and rabies, de-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), tested heart-worm negative (if positive, they are treated), tested negative for tick borne diseases, spayed/neutered, implanted with a mini micro-chip and have been examined by a veterinarian to certify that they are healthy. All animals are also on a monthly regime of flea and heartworm medication. Lifetime registration for the micro-chip as well as 30 days of free pet insurance is also included in each adoption fee. In addition, each adopter will go home with a fitted collar, tags, a bag of dog food the pet has been on, Forti-Flora, and an adoption kit filled with valuable information and coupons as well as other various treats or toys as promotions become available. All puppy adoptions include a puppy training book, the Puppy Primer by Patricia McConnell, to help ensure a smooth transition for your new family member.
We ask that you consider an additional donation on top of this pet's adoption fee. This money will go directly into our Adoption Fund to be used exclusively for rescuing and caring for other pets in need. Many pets we take in have very high vet bills to get them healthy and adoptable for the public - much higher than their adoption fees. We receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from our community and caring adopters to continue our rescue efforts!
