Ellie Mae is 3 years old and weighs about 45 pounds. This gal is very sweet! Miss Ellie is a protective girl, she's also very picky. Before adopting we suggest a meet and greet with the current family fur baby of any. Ellie needs to be on a farm or somewhere in the country. Although she is three years old she still has lots of energy and loves to play. Ellie loves attention. She is house trained, she knows the sit command and shake and she also loves to play ball (she loves to fetch it, but not bring it back lol). Ellie really is a one of a kind. She does have a small birth defect that does not faze her at all. Her front leg turns outward.

      Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, We are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately we must euthanize due to illness, aggression, or overcrowding. Beginning March 9, 2015 adoption fee is $115 for Guernsey County adopters and $150 for dogs adopted out of Guernsey County. This includes first shots, rabies, and microchip! This is made possible by a grant from the Kenneth A Scott Foundation. Most dogs will be required to be  spayed/ neutered before leaving shelter!  Adoption is not final until surgery is performed. Please talk to shelter staff for more information.
     We only accept cash or checks. We cannot take debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter between the hours of 9-5 Mon through Fri and 9-3 on Saturday, for more information and our fax number if you would like us to fax you an application. Adoption hours are 10 to 4 through the week and 10 to 2 on Saturday unless special arrangements are made in advance!!!! If coming from out of town, please call first to make sure the dog you are interested in is still available. Approved rescues also welcome!!!!
