To expedite the process, please follow the step-by-step instructions outlined and submit an adoption application listing 3-5 dogs of interest. Please hurry as your new best friend is waiting for you!

CONTACTING LABS4RESCUE: You may also address your questions directly to this dog's Adoption Coordinator, whose name and email address are listed below, via email or by using the “Contact this Organization” button. However, please do NOT use the "Adopt Me" link on this page since Petfinder will retain your information without relaying your form to Labs4rescue.

Angelina is a small black female lab mix just under a year of age. She was picked up as a stray, running with three other dogs who were later euthanized at the shelter for behavioral issues. Poor Angelina was dejected without her friends. She sat facing the corner of her kennel with her head hanging low. A veterinarian spotted her sad photo online and contacted the shelter on the day she was to be put down. The veterinarian had decided to rescue Angelina and contacted us with her story. Angelina was spayed and treated for heart worms. She then moved to the veterinarian’s home and joined the pack living there! That is when she really came out of her shell! She soon was trotting around the yard, eating well, and playing with her toys and the other dogs. She became a completely different dog, very affectionate, licking her family’s hands, and napping on the beds. Angelina is a lovely girl whose coat is soft and thick. She is a little doll! Her foster mom calls her “Angelina Ballerina” because she is dainty on her feet and she points her toes slightly out, like a dancer...she is just too cute! Angelina is learning to walk on a leash, to take treats from your hand, and she is almost completely housebroken. She does not jump up and rarely barks. She needs to rest up from her heartworm treatment until mid-April, and then she will be healthy and ready to travel to her forever home. This is a special little girl and she will make a great family dog. Please consider offering a home to little Angelina!
