Hello, my name is Patches. I think I should start by telling you a little bit about my background. I don't mean to complain, but I have not had the most wonderful life up until now. I was actually abused and neglected by some humans who shall remain nameless, and that left me a little shy and fearful of new people, especially men. However, the people at the shelter have treated me very well and I now understand that most people actually want to help me and take care of me. I have learned to take walks with either men or women now and am not afraid of anyone, once I get to know you. The people who walk me say I am very well trained and lady-like on my leash. Once I get to know you, I can be very friendly, especially if you pet me a lot and rub my belly. I think I would be happiest in a home without another dog to share your attention with, unless it's with my son, Muggs, if you happen to have room for two of us! Either way, I'm ready for someone to take care of me and vice versa!
