Meet Pug Diddy

Hi there! My name is Pug Diddy, and my story starts when these shelter people found me wandering the streets. You see, I had been there a long time living a rough life, but then my angel came along and decided I deserved better than that. So here we are with me, a 6-10 year old fella, looking for what they call a forever home.

I may not have been in the best shape, but I’m still pretty handsome if I do say so myself. When my foster human found me, I had a horrible ear and eye infection, along with some baldness from a flea allergy. She took me to this nice Lady called Mrs.Vet, and she said I have something called a Grade 1 heart murmur. Nothing to worry about, just something to keep an eye on and to let my future vet know about.

While I was with Mrs. Vet, she noticed I didn’t pee like a normal male dog. I had no idea what she was talking about, but apparently not every puppy pees out the side? Mrs. Vet said she found a tiny pin hole on the side of my urethra, which was more than likely caused from a bladder stone that blocked my urethra, and I created a hole by pushing so hard to urinate. Ouch, right? It happened a while ago and had already healed, so it’s a mystery what really happened. But Mrs. Vet took xrays to make sure I didn’t have any bladder stones left. I didn’t, so yay for that! Then, Mrs.Vet fixed me up, doing a special surgery to make everything work better. I can now empty my bladder easily, instead of straining, which is really nice. The only other thing I should mention is that Mrs. Vet said I have issues with my hips, and my spine is starting to fuse together (spondylosis). That’s typical in more mature pups like me, but you would never know from watching me play! I love running around with toys in my mouth and being silly! I also like every dog I have met so far, and I LOVE going on car rides with my humans.

Sure, I’ve had a few medical things going on, but I look and feel great now! Anyway, what can you expect? My life up until this point hasn’t exactly been easy. I’m so glad that changed. My foster human says I have been neutered, had a rabies vaccine, and tested negative for Heartworms. So I’m all ready for my forever family to find me! I even started something called trifexis, which will keep the creepy crawlers off of me! I feel like a brand new pup! What I would love now, more than anything else, is to have a soft bed to lay on every night since I am house / crate trained and a human to call my very own.
Could that be you?
