Georgie Terrier & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Cromwell, MN

Georgie is just over a year old. Spayed, UTD on shots, rabies, crate trained and is micro chipped. Not 100% sure on her breed, but appears to be a terrier mix. She came up from Georgia where she was at a high kill shelter and was terrified there. She is still timid and shy, but is coming out of her shell. She absolutely loves the other dogs and really seems to be benefiting from them. Would prefer she go to a home with another dog that she can play with and learn from. With as shy as she is a fenced yard is required.

Georgie is a very sweet girl, just needs time and patience. Hard to imagine what might have happened to make a young puppy so scared of people.

*Update* Georgie has been making major progress. She is joining us on the bed now for movies. Follows me all over the dog yard without a leash and is wanting to be pet now. Will gladly accept treats from your hand and will lick. She has even licked my face, which was a huge for her. She really needs someone who can dedicate lots of time and patience and not expect a dog who will be cuddle. Not sure if she will ever be that kind of dog. She loves the other dogs and is VERY playful! We have tried leaving her loose in the house when we leave, but she is a chewer and not real trustworthy with free reign in the house. We do put her in the dog room, normally loose in there, when we have to go places. She is crate trained and well behaved in her crate.
