Dilly Chihuahua Boulder, CO

Dilly is an itty bitty 5lb, 8 year old, one eyes Chihuahua. Dilly was found on the streets of Texas so scared and skinny. She loves people so much, we cannot imagine how she was on the streets for so long because we are sure she was begging people for help. When someone finally decided to stop and help her, her eye was super infected and was beyond repair. Dilly had surgery to get her one eye removed, and we believe that she cannot see very well if at all out of her other eye.
Dilly is now here in CO searching for her forever home, and here is what her foster mom has to say about her:

"Dilly won my heart the second we met. She is the gentlest, most loving, innocent little dog you could ever meet. She is an incredible little dog and a joy to be around. She’s a perfect little companion and is smart, gentle, and loves to give love. I’ve been having so much fun spoiling this baby but still, she is so undemanding and really just
wants to be with you and to be loved and cherished. Dilly is mostly blind so she needs someone to help her learn her way around. This girl is super smart, observant, and quick to learn. Since she is very smart she needs a home environment where
she is safe to explore. Dill is alert and aware of everything so she needs a home that will help her stimulate her mind. Dilly loves to go outdoors and needs a tiny bit of yard to explore. She loves to go to the dog park to sniff the grass for a few minutes. She is very quiet but will give a little woof if she loses you in the house or if she hears something that she needs to protect you from. She is tiny but she will want to take care of you! This girl is just too cool and so incredible! Nothing stops her from enjoying life. Dill’s hearing is exceptional and she picks up words very easily. She responds to and learns about her environment by sound, smell, and even temperature. Dilly is very gentle so it’s important to hold onto her with both hands when you pick her up. She loves to be picked up and carried, held on your lap, placed on your chest to sleep like a baby. She is so contented when she’s being held and loved. Dilly prefers a quiet environment and loves to just be with you, to be a lap baby while you work. Dilly loves car rides and to go with you everywhere you go.
I’ve continued housetraining Dilly but the cold, wet weather has made it a little hoarder. However! She knows to go outside so just keep taking her out frequently. Dilly doesn’t shed much. This special girl is truly the most innocent and loving creature you’ll ever meet."
