We still have no clue were Captain Pogo gets his rank from, but it certainly helps this handsome boy to stand out from the crowd. Pogo was found wandering around a neighborhood in Radcliff, braving the wintry elements before he came to stay at the Animal Refuge Center. A little wet food was all it took to tempt him to come with us and that's a decision he says he doesn't regret.

At this point the Captain has been with us about 4 and a half months and he has gone through some big changes. The biggest change has to be the fact that when Pogo first arrived at the shelter he was terrified of dogs and now as much as he likes cats, it's safe to say Captain Pogo likes dogs even more!

He is very affectionate and looking toward the future, Pogo understands that black and white cats aren't always the most popular kitties, but he's prepared to make himself the most popular cat in your heart and home. The Captain will do well in a home with cats and/or dogs and is looking for a home where he would be allowed to go outside occasionally.

Cat Adoption Fees: $60 for Cats, $85 for Dogs
All our pets are spayed, neutered, and up-to-date on all shots. Our dogs have been tested and are presently on Heartworm prevention. The Animal Refuge Center has these and many more pets waiting for a good home. Note: The Animal Refuge Center has a "No-Declaw" policy. Our cats are too old to be declawed without risk of serious behavioral problems.
