DUFFY Golden Retriever Jacksonville, FL

"Well, not sure how my girlfriend, Dixie and I got out but my family never came to look for us. A kind person saved us from the traffic and took us to the animal shelter where we stayed for days thinking our family would come and take us home but they never did. We were so sad but also very happy when the GREAT lady came to the shelter and said 'come on Duffy and Dixie, you are going to be GREAT Golden Retrievers!! Wow, that was music to our ears and boy have we been thriving ever since. Dixie got adopted a little bit ago and now I'm looking for my forever home too.

As you can see from my pictures, I am quite the looker, handsome in every way with a nice soft coat. I am a purebred Golden Retriever and am nice and slender-no handle bars on me, that's for sure and it's because I love to run and play so much so my new family needs to give me exercise and walks. One of my very favorite fun activities is to retrieve a tennis ball and wow, I am really good at it too! Actually, I am so talented, I can even bark with a tennis ball in my mouth!! My new family also needs to have a large, active dog for a companion and fenced yard. Not too sure if I like a pool or not but maybe when I see my family go into it, I will get the idea and give it a try.

So here's what else you need to know about me. You already know I'm a Golden Boy but I am also totally vaccinated, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and, of course, neutered and very healthy. I like to give my foster family kisses, play with their four year old Golden, Mozart, give my people some snuggling but I'm not too sure about strangers doing that and just hang out in the yard where I can run and play as much as I want. Something else that is very special about me is that I LOVE A CRATE but my foster lets me just sleep wherever I want because I am so good in the house.! I also love going for long walks and really need a family who is active also because I'm an energetic boy for being 8 years old. So I guess you get the picture, I am very anxious for my very own family and can't wait to meet you really soon. I know I'm going to love you!"
