Meet Gromit

Here at STAF we are not big on cloning animals, but every so often you meet a dog whose personality you would just love to clone ?. Gromit is that dog, with his totally clone-able chill laid back, devil-may-care outlook on life.

Sweet, loveable, happy and thankful for every day and everything; Gromit is one big-loveable dog who enjoys life and every person he meets. Because Gromit is the half-full-rose-colored-glasses dog we all envy, you would never know that he came to STAF from a deplorable hoarding situation where he was living in complete and utter filth. Nope, Gromit doesn’t complain and is content to be everywhere.

Gromit is approximately 5 years old and does well with all people (wonderful with children) and dogs. He travels well in the car and below is some wonderful feedback from Gromit’s recent home visit with a volunteer.

“He was great! The first couple of hours he was curious about everything in my apartment, although when I gave him a nylabone or kong he was very content just to sit and chew on it. He seemed to like riding in the car with me so I took him on a short drive and when he wasn't happily looking out the back window he was sound asleep. Around 3 he fell fast asleep until it was time to go. He seemed to be house trained and was a perfect guest.”

It’s very easy to love Gromit.

Gromit’s estimated birth date is February 2011

Please see our homepage for visiting hours and adoption details.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.

Can’t adopt but want to help? You can make a difference! Our shelter is run entirely on volunteer-power and generous donations from animal-lovers like you. 100% of your contribution goes directly to caring for our 500+ furry residents. Thank you for your support.
