Macgyver--I'm an Adoption Center Dog! Collie & Greyhound Mix Chicago, IL

This extremely sweet and gentle boy recently joined our organization after being rescued from a situation with the help of our friends at Animal Rescue Corps (http://animalrescuecorps.org/) Though the first part of Macgyver's life was a little tumultuous, he has always been surrounded by other dogs and people with good intentions and that is clearly reflected in his endearing and loving personality. This 1 year old's breed mix is really a total guess but he's 45 lbs and full grown.

Here's a bit about what MacGyver's foster parents have to say about him:

MacGyver is great! He's already learned so much (he's pretty food motivated so that helps): "sit", "down", "paw", and is in the process of learning "crate". He will help himself to your lap and would be fine getting pet for days. He is a very gentle guy, a bit skittish but he'll still play with you and enjoys chasing balls. We think he's going to be great at fetch because he's very reliant on sight and super smart. The sight reliance can make it a little bit tough to take him out after dark and he's still a little hesitant to walk anywhere that isn't well lit. Mostly he's still adjusting to living in a city and is a bit freaked out by cars, buses, and trains. We think he's making good progress though, since his reactions to things are improving and are in no way aggressive. He's going to be a great pet for someone as he is pretty relaxed at home, took to crate training and hasn't had an accident in a week!
