Meet Nathan & Napoleon (FIV+) ** Bonded Brothers**

Meet adorable Nathan (grey chin) and Napolean (white chin)! They are approximately 2 year old cuties whonare quite bonded to eaxh other. Here's the kicker.....both Nathan and Napolean tested positive for FIV. Cats with FIV usually live long, healthy, normal lives BUT it can also cause some cats to be more prone to infections, etc. FIV is only spread by a deep penetrating bite wound from another cat, during an aggressive fight. It is not contagious to people or dogs, etc. Sadly, many people are scared off by the FIV status, which I really wish wasn't the case. Honestly, I know many FIV-positive cats that are little old men/old lady cats with no illnesses at all, etc.

The main issue would be: if you have other cats, the recommendation is to not have FIV-positive cats living with FIV-negative cats, BUT I tend to disagree since the method of transmission is via a deep, aggressive bite, which is highly unlikely among friendly, altered cats. Many vets and cat-people agree. Our rescue was actually named after a cat named Tuffy, who is FIV-positive and lives with a FIV-negative kitty!
These kiddos came to us as tiny feral kittens, and have grown to understand that humans are pretty great! They are always purring and so fun to watch wrestle! They sleep with their foster mom and are good with dogs!

Their adoption fee includes their neuter surgeries, microchips, vaccinations, deworming, fecal tests and FeLV/FIV tests.
