Meet Daisy!

Daisy is an approximate 3 year old Pitty/American Bulldog mix that was surrendered to Philly ACCT due to her owners not having enough time for her.

At the shelter, Daisy was completely terrified, trembling, and shut down. We saw some videos taken by volunteers at ACCT of Daisy circulating on social media, as thousands of you also witnessed. Our president Melissa and board director Jennifer immediately went to ACCT to bring her in to foster care.

After a night in foster care, Daisy seemed to have trouble breathing. She was rushed to our ER vet Quakertown Veterinary Clinic where it was determined she had broken pneumonia in her left lung. She was treated and then did well in foster care!

Daisy was adopted in February 2016 and unfortunately returned several months later, as it was just not a good fit - sometimes this happens! We did not have a foster home available to home Daisy that had no other animals, so unfortunately Daisy had to be boarded for 2 months while we searched for a foster home that could take her. Daisy is now in a TEMPORARY foster home but needs a new foster or adopter ASAP so she doesn't have to go back to boarding!

At this time, we are recommending Daisy be the only pet in the home, as she has been reactive to other animals (dogs/cats) she has seen. She is easily redirectable while on walks when she sees other animals. She remains to be extremely sweet with people and children and all she wants is belly rubs and snuggles!

Daisy is currently spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, 4dx heartworm negative, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
