Pin Tabby Ottawa, ON

Dec 31, 2016 - Pin and Pip have been officially adopted by their foster mum. They have seen many kittens come and go but they will be staying in the home they have come to love. A lovely way to start the New Year.

Pin and her brother Pip were born on Sept 6, 2015 to Bertha, a feral in a small colony. Born in the wild to a feral mother; made the kittens fearful of humans and extremely elusive. By feeding them regularly and gently playing with them they began to show signs of trust. One November evening their rescuer turned up the heat in his apartment, set some wet food down by the threshold, opened the door and quietly waited. After a half hour or so of lingering outside the open door, they casually walked into the apartment like they had been living there all along.

Pin is a female brown tabby and is almost identical to Pip making it difficult to tell them apart unless they are side-by-side. Then it is obvious which kitten is which since Pin is the slightly smaller and more slender of the two. Pin and Pip are very close and the two play together and fall asleep on top of each other. They are deeply bonded to each other and are looking for a home where they can live together.

Pin is more adventurous than Pip, but will still hold back initially before deciding to interact with strangers. They are very affectionate and playful with their foster mom and the other cats in the home. They are still quite shy around very young children, but older children are considered good playmates. Pin is playful and affectionate and, like Pip, can be picked up and held without much fuss.
