Meet Olivia
Big welcome to our newest addition, Olivia! This sweet girl joined the rescue with a broken arm and though we have no way of knowing if it is the result of trauma or an accident, it sure hasn't changed her friendly and playful spirit one bit. She is a totally typical approximately 4 month old gal who loves playing with squeaky toys, chewing on nylabones, and snuggling her foster parents.
Olivia currently shares her foster home with three other dogs including a grumpy old guy and two other younger dogs--she is great with all three and respectful of the older grump while super playful and engaging with her peers. She is doing awesome at crate training and sleeps quietly (and without an accident) in her crate overnight!
Currently, Olivia is receiving weekly bandage changes and checkups at our vet's office. It is unclear yet if her leg will heal properly or if she'll ultimately need amputation but regardless of outcome the rescue is committed to providing her with the medical care she needs.
Though the rescue will continue to cover her care for this pre-existing issue, she can join her new family at any time. Olivia is now vaccinated and will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. She currently weighs about 25 lbs and her breed mix is a total guess--we see Boxer and maybe greyhound but she certainly could be part pitbull, Basenji, shepherd, who knows!
