Halo! Labrador Retriever New Milford, CT

Halo is a very special girl who came in to the shelter with her two puppies. We rescued them from a kill shelter down south and Halo has a terrible wound to her leg. We did have to amputate her leg, due to infection and severe arthritis. But she certainly has not let that slow her down! She is a goofy, happy girl who loves to go for long walks and she loves all people. One of her favorite things to do is to cuddle on her cozy bed. Halo is now finishing her heartworm treatment. This sweet girl has made a big dent in our medical fund, but she is definitely worth it!

UPDATE 10/5/15 Halo is back at the shelter after her surgery! She may be missing a leg but she is feeling great and is loving life! In a few weeks she will be starting heartworm treatment before she will be ready for adoption. Thank you to everyone who has donated toward her care and thank you for future donations for her further expenses!

UPDATE 2/9/16 Halo has officially finished her heartworm treatment and is more than ready to have a home to call her own! Halo has blossomed into a goofy and playful girl and we know that she is going to make some family very happy!
