Meet Blu
BLU IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
A somewhat difficult history has made Blu a truly special, tri-pod companion. He was accepted into BBBR after he had been hit by a car and drug down the road. His right rear leg could not be saved, and it was amputated soon after he was accepted into the rescue. He has three areas of road rash that will never have hair.
Blu is a beautiful being, approximately 2-3 years old. His coat is soft, sleek and Rolls Royce Gray. He has those fabulous soulful amber eyes that are so striking against his coloring. His weight is very good, but he needs a little conditioning (don’t we all).
He is a cuddle monster and loves to play, especially fetch and tug. Missing a leg doesn’t slow him down.
He gets along with small dogs, calm big dogs, and even confident cats!
Blu has been through the training course at Canine Good CitiZen. He knows all of his commands and enjoys reviewing them.
He is house-trained, crate-trained, and entertains himself with a Kong
Blu’s forever family will be active, social and wholly committed to his well-being for the long term.
Blu likes people, but is unsure of himself when people enter his home. He would do better in an environment where there is not too much coming and going in his territory. Blu’s forever family can be shown the proper introductions to help him learn how to accept new human friends into his home. A home without children would be best.
