Meet Panther
Panther is an outgoing, sweet and lovable kitty who looks like a friendly version of his namesake. He is a big cat (large, not fat) who was rescued from the streets of Worcester. He enjoys time out of his cage to sit on the cat trees watching the birds and runs to greet everyone that enters his room. He loves toys and will fetch his favorite green mouse over and over. He is such a nice cat and is a favorite of our volunteers. Although he checked out at the veterinarian as healthy he is FIV+ and should be the only kitty in his new home, or live with other FIV+ cats. FIV+ cats can live long and healthy lives if kept indoors, fed a high-quality diet and brought to the vet for regular check ups. Please give this guy a chance to have a loving home. FIV is spread to other cats only through bite wounds and can not be spread to people or dogs. You can learn more about it on the Cornell Vet School's website: http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/health_information/brochure_fiv.cfm

If a cat is listed on our website, that means that cat is still available for adoption. The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays from 11 - 1:00 during adoption hours, or by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $160 for a single kitten or $260 for a pair. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, combo testing (for FeLV and FIV) and spaying/neutering when old enough.
