Meet Hatter

UPDATE: ADOPTED 2-13-16

Hatter was picked up on Milltown Rd on 9/14/15. He is a male tan and white Pit Bull terrier mix. He weighs 65 pounds. Very sweet boy and has that grinning pittie face about him. He is anxious toward the other dogs and has gone after an intact male so very Slow introduction is recommended between him and the other dogs. We brought him up front with one of our small terrier female dogs and he actually tolerated her just fine, even when she was trying to hump him! So he obviously picks and chooses who he likes, being partial to girls and smaller dogs. He absolutely LOVES people. I mean loves them. Wants to be petted and loved on, wants to lean into you, and wants to be a couch potato we just know it! He has been neutered and is current on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $53 to an approved adopter, or $5 to an approved rescue.

ID No. 221 Adoption date is 9/18/15. Available for rescue 9/19/15

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption. Rescues are allowed to pull dogs on the day after they are put up for adoption. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption, and on the 6th day is available to rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility.  There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available.
The current adoption fee is $71 which includes the dogs spay or neuter, Rabies vaccination, and Distemper/Parvo vaccination at a local vet. .  Dogs are given 2 weeks to find a new home and due to limited space and resources are given a two week euthanasia date on intake.
