Duffy's Friends matches dogs to families and individuals in and very close to Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo New York. We adopt to those who own their home, have a traditional fenced yard, and do not have children under 12 living in the home. Applicants must have a prior history of dog ownership with a positive vet reference.
Our adoption fee is $300.00 for a heartworm tested, spayed/neutered pet with all vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventative. You will receive a Duffy's Friends ID tag and medical records with your adoption. Willow was found wandering and picked up as a stray. The shelter called us as her time was up and we were happy to get the call. She is a mix of possible Havanese terrier and Shih Tzu. We are told by our vets that she is 3 -4 years old. We personally feel she is younger as she is getting into the playful mode like a young dog. We have spayed her and provided all vaccinations and heart worm negative test. She is housebroken and walks great on a leash.
She was professionally groomed and now looks like the lady that she is. She is very loving and will make a nice friend to cuddle with! She is a good girl and likes to be with you.
The foster home states she likes her female dog but is wary of the male dog. Willow does not like cats. She is very easy to please and would make a good walking dog if walking is what you do for exercise.
She weighs approximately 16 lbs and has the most beautiful pewter gray color running through her coat. She is a cutie pie and is doing well in the home being crated during the day while foster home is at work.
She came into our program, dirty, matted and with no hope of finding a home looking like that at the over crowded shelter. We know someone is going to love this dog and can't wait to have her meet her forever home.
