MY STORY: If you are looking for a companion who is well-behaved, easy to have around and as cute as can be, your search stops here. We had the pleasure of “babysitting” Juno while his foster was out of town and I can’t tell you what a sweet boy he is. We have fostered a lot of dogs over the years, and Juno is right at the top. He is low key, has great house manners, is a good travelling companion and is house trained. He didn’t even try to mark his territory in our house. I’m not sure I can say that about any other male dog we have had. When he has to go out, he gets a little antsy to catch your attending. He then heads to the door, and dances around in a circle if he really needs to go out. There is a video of him doing his dance, and he also does this for treats. I never heard him bark, as he does in the video so please don’t think he is a yippee, noisy dog. He was quiet as can be for us. Even slept in our bed and never moved a muscle all night long. That was one thing he was insistent on. Normally we have a “no dog in bed” rule, but we gave in to Juno. He and the Queen of our house, Gordie, got along very well. Juno ignored our cat. One of his favorite activities was sitting in a chair right next to my husband. Not on his lap, just snuggled up right next to him content as can be. Because Juno has dark hair and dark eyes, it is difficult to capture a good picture of him. Trust me, he will quickly become your best buddy.
Today I picked up Juno and right away he showed his sweet personality. He laid on my lap and was so content to just cuddle. This little guy is all about laying on the couch and taking a nap. Oh and belly rubs of course. He has a pretty noticeable under bite, which makes him look grumpier than he is! When he goes over to the water bowl it takes him a little longer to get all the water he wants because of his under bite, but it is adorable to watch. He is good with dogs even rambunctious puppies. My Chihuahuas were really giving him the run around, but he just let them do their thing and walked away when he was done with it. Right now he is still unsure about this new environment, so he just follows me around.
We have no record of his past, but if I was to guess I would say he was a domestic pet sometime in his life. He really thrives on human contact and attention. If you want a companion for the rest of his life that is content to just spend time with you, then this little guy would love to have your love. Our dogs are located in foster homes throughout the state. We do not have a facility. Adopters must be 24 years old.We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
