1/17/2016: Brinkley is a very sweet-natured Boxer/American Bulldog mix. She’s a beautiful girl and those eyes will melt your heart. Brinkley is 2 years old and she weighs 70 lbs. She was quite timid and hand shy when she first came to us last summer, but she’s made a lot of progress. She's a sweetie and really warms up to people once she gets to know them. And she's much more comfortable meeting strangers now. She’ll need a home without kids and with someone who will give her time to settle in to her new home and surroundings. Brinkley had been living in a foster home in Oklahoma, but her foster mom could no longer foster her and reached out to us. And, well, who could say no to that face?

Brinkley is house trained. She’s calm and walks nicely on a leash. She gets along with most other dogs. If you have a dog we’d ask you to make and appointment to bring your dog in to meet Brinkley to make sure they like each other. She is not good with cats. She can also jump a fence.

Brinkley has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for heartworms.

> Our goal is to send you home with a healthy pet and any information and support you may need to help your new pet adjust to his or her new home. All of our dogs & puppies have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas & ticks, tested for heartworms (7 mo. and over), and are on monthly heartworm preventative. Puppies who are too young to receive all the necessary puppy boosters and/or first rabies shot may be brought back to us for those vaccines at no extra charge. You will also receive a leash, collar, coupons for pet supplies and services, toys, and educational materials. And we'll give your dog a bath before he or she goes home!

> Please note that we prefer and may require a fenced yard for many of our dogs. Exceptions are made on an individual basis depending on the dog's needs, the person's dog experience, the dog's and person's activity levels, home environment and other factors.

> An application is required to adopt a pet and applicants must meet our adoption requirements. If you decide you'd like to adopt one of our dogs, we reserve the pet for you but we generally don't send the dog home with you that same day.
