Meet Azure
Azure was found in the parking lot of MetroWest Humane Society, a cat shelter. They transferred him to us since they don't have a place to put a bird. They named him Azure for his blue color. His wings appear to be partially cut. He is very sweet and was singing to the other parakeets in our care the day he arrived.
Parakeets are social animals that enjoy spending time outside of their cages. Hand tamed parakeets can be trained to do tricks or sit on your shoulder. Our parakeet adoption fee is $25.
Parakeets need fresh fruits and vegetables as part of a healthful diet. Â There are many fruits and vegetables they can eat including: grated carrots, green leafy vegetables, raw broccoli, and apple slices.
