Approximate Age: 3 years

Approximate Weight: 27 lbs.

Currently Living At: DC boarding - needs a foster!

Meet Dynamite! What a happy boy this is. His overnight foster said he was very sweet and gentle. This super cute guy weighs in just under 30 lbs., making him the perfect size for practically any home.

Dynamite is looking for a warm home...someone who will take him on long walks, keep him socialized, and cuddle as needed. Any trips to the dog park to have fun with friends would be a super added bonus. Dynamite needs some obedience training so that he can learn basic commands like 'sit' and 'down' so he can show people how polite he can be. Dynamite has been good with the dogs he has met so far and has been nice to the kids he has met so far as well. We are not sure yet how he acts around cats, but let us know if you need us to find out.

Like most shelter dogs, Dynamite may need a refresher on housetraining. He is likely crate trained.

Dynamite has tested positive and been treated for Heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative.
