Jules Cane Corso Madison, WI

Jules is a special guy that came to our rescue from Milwaukee's Animal Control. He came to us in 07/2015 and was born on 7/30/2008. He is so handsome and loves people. He knows his basic commands such as sit and lay down. He keeps his kennel clean and enjoys playing with his toys and chewing on his bones.

Jules would be best in a home with no other animals, as he would prefer to have all the attention to himself! His ideal home would have experience with large dogs such as Cane Corsos so they know what owning such a large guy means. If you think you are the home for him, please fill out an application and we will set up a meeting. Jules will not be making any appearances at Petsmart.

Update on Jules: 

While Jules is still residing with the shelter and not in  foster care, he has recently stolen the hearts of 2  volunteers that are walking him regularly. He may have  been intimidating to them at first, but once the two women  spent some time with him, they quickly learned that he is  respectful to his human friends. He doesn’t realize his own  strength and size at times and can pull his human friends  right along with him. However, Jules settles back and  relaxes with the right fit. While he may pull at times, he  readily listens to correction and promptly remembers his  manners. In fact, one of the women mentioned that they  felt the safest when walking on ice because the dog  intuitively picked up that there was fear caused by the  weather conditions. Jules is very intelligent and can be a  shining star in the right home.

Adoption Information:Adoption clinics are held every Saturday from 10am – 2pm at PetsMart, 2216 E. Springs Drive. Most of our available dogs can be visited at that time. Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any veterinary care prior to adoption. We offer a $25 rebate to adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption.
Adoption Fees for our dogs and puppies range from $238 to $500 depending on the animal. Please fill out an application found on our website at sftsrescue.org
