Meet SUGAR

Sugar is a little 5 or 6 year old, 8 pound Bichon. She came to us from a commercial breeder but she had none of the characteristics of a breeder dog. Sugar waltzed right into the house and made herself at home. She is affectionate and adorable and eager to please.

Sugar came to us clipped very short but her hair is starting to grow out and you can start to see her little, round Bichon face. Sugar is ADORABLE!

Sugar is a sweet and happy dog. She would love to have children in her home or another soft, sweet dog. She does not play with other dogs but has never lived without them. Sugar is house trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash and does great in the car. She is wonderful with other dogs and adores children. Sugar likes men and woman equally and loves, loves, loves children! They really light up her world. You couldn't ask for a softer, kinder, sweeter dog than Sugar.

Sugar's adoption will require a fenced yard and a home where she is not left a typical 8 hour work day; someone that works from home, works very part time or is retired. Sugar spent her life in a cage with no attention now she should get to have all she wants. She would love to have respectful children in the home who are 8 or older Sugar has never lived one minute of her life without another dog. We feel that unless there are children in the home, that Sugar will need to live with another dog in the home. We have found that most puppy mill dogs do not do well with invisible fences so Sugar will need a physical fence in her new home. Sugar's new home will need to be within 1.5 hour driving distance from Wooster so that a home visit can be done with Sugar.

If you feel that your lifestyle and environment meet with Sugar's needs please contact Martha at learymjri@aol.com or call 330-466-3667 or 330-262-0515 for an application or more information. If you do not get a response to an email please call as the link does not always work well.

Sugar's adoption will require an approved application and home visit. The adoption must be completed with the adopter coming to the foster home. Adoption fee is $250.

PLEASE READ; If you are using a commercial, chemical flea preventative like Trifexis, or Frontline, etc., these are dangerous neurotoxins that poison the life force of your dog (his or her blood) in order to kill a flea. There are serious side effects including seizures and even death from the use of this product. It is so toxic that it is under the control of the EPA, deadly to wildlife, a toxic water pollutant, dangerous to children and pregnant women.. With over 40,000 complaints of sickness and death a year reported to the EPA from the use of these chemical flea products, we feel we can no longer put our dogs in homes who continue to use these products for flea prevention. We do not want our dogs given these products. We are happy to talk with you about natural flea preventatives.
