Barkley Chihuahua Cincinnati, OH

Sweet little Barkley (very little, under 9 lbs!) came to STAF when his family was facing medical issues along with having a new baby in the house. There wasn’t enough time for Barkley.

Barkley is a very loving boy but because of his size he will do best in a home with older children. No young, wobbly, fast moving, grabby-tykes for this tiny guy.

Barkley loves to be held and babied…think purse dog :o). He does fine with other dogs, but honestly loves, loves, loves his people. Barkley does like to play, but actually he is a very calm little dog and doesn’t require a ton of exercise. A daily walk and he is happy. He’s very content to follow you around the house and to take an occasional nap in his bed.

Barkley would love to be the apple of your eye, your one and only, the king of your castle, the dog of your dreams…

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
You must complete an application at the shelter prior to meeting any of our animals. (Sorry--our application is not available on-line or via email.)
We do not do same-day adoptions; we ask that you return for a follow-up visit before taking an animal home.
We require a fenced yard (sorry--no invisible fences) for homes with children under age 11.
We do request vet and personal references.
At this time, we are only able to consider applicants within 150 miles of Cincinnati.
