Meet Freyja
Freyja, female, 3 years, Lab/ APBT, fawn
Now that Freyja's pups are leaving for their new beginnings, it has come time for her to start searching for hers.
Freyja came to us with a litter of 8 2.5 week old pups. We received a call from an adopter, that she had taken up resicence in a friends yard and would not allow for anyone to come near.
Sure enough she had 8 beautiful babies hidden in their shed. After a long wait we were finally able to get Mom and off to safety the family went. It has now been almost 7 weeks since that day and her babies are off and starting their new lives.
Freyja was a terrific Mom and did an amazing job with her pups.
Freyja's biggest shortcoming is she is very untrusting of humans she does not know and takes time to warm up. She often has to meet the person 2 or 3 times before she is comfortable, though this is not always the case. She will need a home with patience and that is willing to work on her confidence building.
So far Freyja has been fine with both dogs and cats, she simply ignores them. We have not introduced her to any kids as of yet.
Freyja is quite the jumper and escape artist ans will need a six foot privacy fence to keep her safe. After some time she is now willing to stay in a crate in her foster home.
Once Freyja trusts you, you have a friend for life. She is a huge cuddle bug and loves to be with her humans. She wants to be wherever you are and will follow you around the house, she just wants to be by your side.
Freyja will be an amazing girl (not that she isn't already) with a little guidance and patience. She has obviously had a past that was not so great, but she is willing to trust again and has nothing but love to give.
Freyja will not officially be able to go to a new home until she is spayed in a few weeks, but she would love to know she has one to go to.
Freyja's adoption fee is 200.00, she has been fully vetted.
