Dakota Bichon Frise Orange, CA

Dakota is aged to be an 8-9 year old bichon mix. He is a 35 lb, absolutely adorable “social butterfly”, who is working on losing a few of those ‘holiday pounds’ with an ideal weight closer to 27 pounds. He is very sweet and loving and will follow you around the house to make sure he knows what is going on. He’s loves to socialize with people everywhere he goes. He loves them and they love him! He is quite playful, enjoys toys and playing a game where he will chase you then you chase him…when you catch him he will lie down so that you can pet him…! Dakota LOVES to snuggle. If he's not getting enough snuggling he says little woofs and then lies down flat on your foot until you pet him. He has a dinner “dance” he does at meal time and will come-a-running if he hears a treat bag opening! Dakota enjoys outings, especially to the beach, and is always excited to go for a R-I-D-E!

He gets along with everyone, all other dogs, all kinds of people, even the toddler next-door who was chasing him around. He saw a cat in the backyard and didn't seem interested at all. He is very quiet, rarely barks, even when the resident pups in his foster home are “going nuts”. His foster Mom says “he is super smart”. He does not jump on the furniture and happily sleeps on his dog bed near the humans.
Dakota is an amazing pup that is well socialized, well trained and such a love bug. He is looking for a family that is home a lot of the time, or able to take him with them when they are at work. He is starting to lose his sight, especially in the dark, so will need a family that can help him learn a new environment. Once he's settled in, he's a happy, happy boy! He will be a wonderful addition to the lucky family that adopts him.
