Tiki Shepherd Mix Madras, OR

Tiki came in with her roommate Grizzly after her owners found themselves in some financial difficulty and couldn't afford to keep them any longer. Tiki is a sweet, gentle girl, about 2.5 years old. Her owners reported that she is house trained, great with other dogs, all ages of people, including small kids, but just doesn't like cats. She won't hurt them, but she sure will chase them! She knows basic commands, is ok on the leash, and likes to play in the water. She is very affectionate and cuddly, and defers to other dogs; she is definitely not the boss! She is a well behaved girl. Although the owners did not mention a prior injury, we did notice that one hip is more muscled than the other and at times she has an odd stance. She doesn't limp or favor her rear leg at all, but there may have been a prior injury not visible to the eye. She is a great medium/large sized dog We will post more as we get to know her better.

Pupdate - Tiki was given a bath and did fabulous! We have placed her in playgroups with other dogs that are not familiar to her and she does great. She is great with both males and females, and loves to play and romp. She is a lovely, friendly dog with lots of good qualities. She just melts our hearts when we see her bringing us her bowl.
